If you are looking for a bracelet that has flair but not too much flash, a diamond link bracelet may be just the thing. These bracelets offer a huge selection in both white and yellow gold. You can choose from small diamonds encrusted within the links, or a style that is similar to the tennis bracelet. As bracelets have begun to regain their popularity, so have the available styles. In an effort to meet the requirements of all their customers, bracelet manufacturers are working to make sure there is enough variety to meet the needs of everyone.
Is a Bracelet Best?
A diamond link bracelet can dress up even the fanciest of outfits, or it can add just the right flair to your work wardrobe or school outfit. You can choose something simple for casual wear or something brilliant for the more formal setting. One of the advantages to the link bracelet is that you have many choices available to you. There is no need to limit your selection to only one style. Some types of diamond jewelry provide very few choices; you have to choose either something highly brilliant or something simple. That is not the case with the link bracelet. Many styles fall in between brilliant and simple from which you can choose. Some bracelets even offer a combination of the simple and elegant for those occasions when simple is too casual.

What to Look For

When looking for these bracelets, compare:
•	The size and the type of diamond included, which often defines the value
•	The style of the bracelet
•	The type of metal included, which may be plated gold, silver, platinum, or other materials
•	The construction, to ensure it is well made and worth the investment
Whether you have one diamond link bracelet or a variety, you do not have to worry about the choices you have for additional pieces. You can have many bracelets and still not have any two that look similar to one another. The price you pay depends on the style you choose and can vary from those under $100 for diamond cuts to hundreds or thousands of dollars for more elegant diamond link bracelets.

If you are looking for a necklace that offers a choice of simplicity and elegance, a diamond circle necklace is just what the doctor ordered. With a choice between small diamond circles and stones to larger circles and stones, an interested buyer can choose from many styles. Circle necklaces are quite popular and are available with all precious stones; most people have at least one in their jewelry collection. Making the right choice for the occasion is easier when you have such a variety of styles from which to choose.

Styles to Select From

What if you want a diamond circle necklace embedded with diamonds? That is only one of many styles you will be able to find among existing styles. These necklaces are so popular, you will find it easy to choose one to fit every occasion. Perhaps you want something simple you can wear to work without appearing to flaunt your love of diamonds. The circle necklace in its simplicity will allow you to do that without any problem whatsoever. On the other hand, if you want something more elegant for a formal occasion, there are styles to meet the needs of those events as well.

When buying this type of necklace, focus on the quality of the piece. These tips will help:

Buy from a trusted merchant who backs up their products with a warranty or guarantee of quality.

Determine the value of the diamonds themselves. Most will be small, but with the right color, cut, and clarity, they will look amazing nonetheless.

The right chain is just as important. Choose a metal that is impressive, such as silver or platinum for the most striking appearance.

Because diamond circle necklaces have so many different styles, it is easy to choose one that fits within your budget. It is possible to find a sterling silver necklace for as low as around $100 and more elegant styles in the hundreds and even thousands of dollars. If you choose a necklace that contains other stones as well as diamonds, it will affect the price and simplicity of the piece. A single diamond chip within the circle will be less expensive than one embedded in diamonds. You can also choose birthstones surrounded by diamonds in a circle for an added look of elegance.

Diamond Charm Bracelet: The Perfect Gift for the Graduate

Soon graduation will be approaching and you may be wondering what to buy for the graduate who has everything. A diamond charm bracelet is the perfect gift for the high school or college graduate. You can choose charms that will appeal to your graduate’s sense of taste and pleasure. You do not have to choose all of the charms in diamonds. Choose the ones you think will be appropriate or will fit into your budget for the occasion. The only thing you want to make certain is that you choose charms that match the bracelet. Do not choose one in white gold and the other in yellow gold.

Buying Charms

Another thing to keep in mind with a diamond charm bracelet is to choose the appropriate number of charms. Do not feel there has to be a charm on every link, especially when you are choosing diamond charms. The problem with too many charms is that not only does it cause the bracelet to look gaudy, but it also increases the potential for theft.

Keep it simple and choose charms that are small and intricately styled. These look much nicer than those that are bigger and make the wearer’s wrist look overwhelmed with diamonds. This is especially true when you have someone who wears a diamond ring such as an engagement or wedding ring. You do not want the person to appear as though they are wearing a diamond factory.

You can choose many different charms as later additions to a diamond charm bracelet. Some of the possibilities include birthstones, sapphires, animals, baby items, key chains, wine glasses, and other trinkets the wearer may enjoy. The size of the charm and weight of the diamonds determine the retail price. However, the average price is usually in the $200 range.

Get Value

When it comes to buying diamond charm bracelets, focus on value.

Buy charm bracelets that are made of quality metals so that they will last longer. Choose silver, gold, or platinum for stylish choices.

Examine the diamonds carefully. How large are they? What are their values?

For the graduate, invest in bracelets that feature a quality band and diamond collection. They will keep it longer and care for it.

A diamond charm bracelet is an ideal investment for just about any graduate.

The original radiant cut diamond represented the creator’s desire to combine the emerald cut’s elegance with the round stone’s brilliance. It took 33 years but in 1977 the first original radiant cut was invented and buyers again had the option of choosing a square or rectangular shaped diamond with the same brilliance they enjoyed from the other cuts. While many diamonds have a design to maximize each one’s individual beauty, only the radiant cut uses standards in accordance with the artistic ideals of its creator. He did his work much like that of a sculptor by creating a vision of his design in his mind before the first stone was cut.

Diamond Cuts Explained

Before the creation of the original radiant cut diamond, all diamonds with straight edges like the emerald cut had long rectangular facets which gave them a glassy appearance. On the other hand, round, pear, oval, and marquis diamonds were faceted in a triangular style. The use of this new technique allowed the creator to release the natural brilliance even in diamonds with straight edges. This gave buyers more choices in their selection of diamonds, thus allowing them to choose square and rectangular cuts without sacrificing the diamond’s brilliance.

Today’s Options

Those who are interested in the original radiant cut diamond are no longer limited in the way by which the diamond is cut. There are more choices with this type of cut, allowing the buyer to choose from various cuts. You can choose a square or rectangular shape and still enjoy the same brilliance and kaleidoscope effect when the light catches the diamond. These diamonds can run into thousands of dollars, but their brilliance and quality makes them worth the price. However, not every diamond seller carries the original radiant cut diamond. You will need to do some research if you are interested in this particular diamond cut.

The Princess cut diamond is one of the most beautiful, second only to the round brilliant in popularity.

As beautiful as any fairy tale jewelry, the top of the Princess is cut in a square or a rectangular shape.

The overall shape is much like that of an upside down pyramid, with four beveled sides that sparkled and catch the light.

Is This a Popular Cut of Diamond?

Although the Princess cut is a fairly recent one, just created in the 1960s, it has steadily gained in popularity for jewelry due to its rare beauty and shape. Many consider it to be a better alternative than the more traditional round brilliant cut.

Although it has the same width as the diameter of a round brilliant cut, it will weigh more because it has four corners which have been cut off and rounded to form a round brilliant.

The princess cut is sometimes called a square modified brilliant, because the facet style is quite similar to a round brilliant, with triangular and kite-shape facets radiating from the center.

This cut combines the brilliance of a round cut with an overall square or rectangular appearance that is exquisitely beautiful and extremely elegant!

Because the square Princess cut diamond retains approximately 80% of the rough diamond, compared to the round brilliant cut which only retains about 50% of the rough diamond, the Princess cut is normally somewhat less expensive.

This same ability to retain weight is one thing that makes this cut a favorite among diamond cutters and jewelry artisans.

A Few Facts About the Princess Cut

It was originally created by Arpad Nagy, who was a diamond cutter in London in 1961. Originally, it had 58 facets, and was immediately popular among those who love and collect fine jewelry.

A similar cut, later branded the “Quadrillion, with only 49 facets instead of the original 58 facets of the princess cut, was initially distributed by Ambar Diamonds in Los Angeles.

Three years of optical research yielded a beautiful square stone with faceting much like that of a round brilliant cut diamond—a beautiful addition to the world of diamond jewelry.

Grading of Diamonds

Currently, the only labs grading this cut of diamond are Accredited Gem Appraisers, or AGA, the American Gem Society Laboratory, or AGSL; and the European Gem Laboratories-USA, or EGL-USA.

A cut grade of “0” is considered the highest grade. “Ex” is also the highest grade. These grades are the ideal due to their better light performance. In general, the very best have a table of 62%-68%, a crown height of 10%-15%, and a total depth of 64%-75%.

If you are looking for a square diamond with this particular cut, you should look for length to width ratios between 1 and 1.05.

Or, if you prefer a more rectangular shape diamond, you should look for length to width ratios greater than 1.10.

The recent introduction of a newcomer on the scene has the world of jewelry and diamond cutters talking!

This new brand is called the “Firemark Princess Cut Diamond” and is said to be of spectacular beauty and extraordinary brilliance. The design was 10 years in the making, subject to intense experimentation and refinements. The finished product is a proprietary square or rectangular cut designed to exhibit the fire, brilliance and scintillation of an Ideal Cut Round diamond.

The Princess cut diamond has been a beloved classic since it was first created because of its fairy tale beauty!
